If you are referring to why did beast titan kill him in the series Harley pretty much explained it without spoiling but if you were referring to why author had to kill of character that is big spoil too so better go and search on internet but in short stuff that happened later would be much more easier with Miche being alive

Shoulda watched "Attack on Titan: Ilse’s Journal" and "Attack on Titan: No Regrets (Levi's past and how he came to join the Scouts)" before starting Season 2.
