Yeah, that was terribly translated.
Things like that are the reasons why I prefere watching sub over dub.
For anyone interested, here is the sub translation:
Zenitsu: "In this box is something I'm not letting you touch. Something precious to Tanjirou!"
Inoske: "Oh, hey, come on! What are you talking about?! There's a Demon inside that box!"
Zenitsu: "I've known that from the very start!"

No, there were 5 survivors that passed the exam, but we only seen 4 of them. The 5th guy(aka boar guy) wasn't seen because he was the first to leave and the first to make it out. The only reason Zenitsu is aware of him is because he has good hearing. So angry guy and angry boar head are two different people lol.
