I think some people just only care about action when they watch an anime. You are not one of those people. I agree with you and think the first 15 episodes of Bleach are fantastic, they heavily develop all of the cast in an entertaining way. Hell, how would we care so much about Rukia being taken otherwise? It hurt because we saw how close Rukia and Ichigo had become over time and got to know them. I'm very glad that you can appreciate that kind of development as a reactor, that's one of the reasons I love your reactions!
