Gotta say I have always agreed with that. Also, the show did state that Naruto was stronger then Sasuke just before the summit. But I can't see Sasuke beating Pein at his current level myself. Naruto did. The biggest thing I take from his last few battles is that he has gotten some really cool moves but lacks the fighting experience to use them effectively. Madara said as much a few episodes ago. The tactics he used vs Danzo just wasn't in his best interest for maintaining his sight. I do think He would be stronger then Kakashi in terms of damage. But Kakashi is far smarter in battle then Sasuke and more adept as using his eye. Kakashi knows full well how he must restrain and control the fight as just opening his eye drains him and using his mangekyo does much more. There is something to be said for having a strong weapon sure, but knowing how to use a weapon usually decides the fight. I always think of Master Roshi and Gen Kai. Both have lost much of their power due to age but do amazingly well despite it.
Well naruto haven't beat nagato he beat knly the six path of his but nagato stop by himself he could kill naruto easly cause he has the power of the six of them+konan was there and without any spoil she can take naruto all by herself so basically if nagato haven't agree with naruto long speech he would destroy all the leaf again and kill naruto easly
+no one was thinking that naruto would stop pain bh himself too bat he did it(with his long speech lol)so you can't just say i can't see sasuke win cause the same goes to naruto if we haven't see the fight
+sasuke is a genius every fight he make is with a strategy like deidara and the five kage when he used susano and orochimaru sickness and itachi and danzo
So he can figure easly that eavh pain has one abylity and he will make a strategy to kill each one even the last pain sasuke has fat jutsu and he has long fight chidoro so five second of the last pain (he nees five second between his jutsu to use it again)is nothing to sasuke he is a fast fight type

I mean Sasuke was Friends with them for most of part 1. Since the zabuza arc they were cool all three of them and let’s not forget Sasuke was ready to die twice for his team. Once for Naruto (Vs haku)and the other time for Sakura and Naruto (vs Gaara). I don’t where this narrative that Sasuke wasn’t friends with them or didn’t like them come from. I would wish they highlighted their friendship more but it was there and clearly strong
Sasuke save naruto many times first mission the builder two shinobi attack and sasuke save naruto and try to save sakura by his life
Haku same goes sasuke save naruto
Orochimaru sasuke save naruto and sakura(if sasuke haven't attack orochi would see him a week and kill him with his team but after he fight him he let the others to let sasuke become chonin)
