You did misunderstand the last scene. Do you remember when Jiraiya and later Minato said that Minato sealed the Nine Tails into Naruto in hopes that he would one day be able to control its power? Giving Naruto the unsealing scroll is what Jiraiya thinks will help him achieve that, that's all you need to know. The rest is explained later.
Not to mention there is the scene of Naruto punching his dad in the gut and shouting "Why would you seal the Nine-Tails in your own son?!" He said I did it because your my son and that he believe he would one day master his power. For suzy to then think that this scroll is to pull out the Nine-Tails is basically saying the 4th Hokage shouldn't have put the Nine-Tails inside him to begin with and that it was a mistake. Not to mention Naruto would die if that happened
Once upon a previous episode, when [insert anime name] was in a Painful battle, Daddy's spirit once said (and I paraphase): My Son, I believe in you, that you would one day be able to harness its p*w*r.
And that, my friends, is why Jiraiya sensei pushed Naruto off a cliff in OG. (though it was mearly just the beginning). Makes sense? ;)

such a fun lighthearted episode
Shikamaru is definitely such a good friend for Naruto
same way Naruto is such a good friend for Sasuke
but Sasuke is not a good friend for Naruto
because he is totally obsessed with Revenge,
which is understandable.
after everything that happened with Sasuke
is understandable to see why he is so obsessed with Revenge.
but he needs to be stopped. before he starts killing inocent people.
