I think the best way I can see this movie now. Is a kid, who discovers the meaning of life at such a young age.

From what I read online, Chihiro and her parents were in the spirit world for 4 days. Enough time for some leaves and dust to gather on the car, but they wouldn't have given their new home away that quickly.

Bath house is like the Brothel in Ancient Japan. Also in the Japanese Myth, everything has spirit, and can become God. It is know as the Eight Million Gods (Yaoyorozu no kami).

Is movie is a masterpiece especially the piano song from Joe Hisaishi
