Sakura’s Resolve - Naruto Shippuden Episode 212 Reaction

sakura: "i'm deserting the hidden leaf"!
sasuke: I hate people who lie to themselves
I think it is kind of funny the look Sasuke gives Sakura as soon as she says that she has abandoned the leaf village. Naruto gave her a similar look when she said she loved him. The reason was that he hates people who lie to themselves, I think Sasuke is very similar in that.
I think it's just that Sasuke has always been good at reading Sakura, not really because he's like Naruto who hates liars.

It's ceratainly a very abusive relationship (if you can even call it relationship)

To be honest, you can blame that on Sai, he even admits it that it was his fault that she did that
you can blame Sai for opening her eyes to the decisions she made, as obvious as they were.
So being completely insensitive about it and even comparing her to a curse mark was ok?

Even more when Sakura knows how terrible an actual curse mark is?

For Christ's sake. Sai was spitting facts. Maybe he could've used different words, yes. But he was telling her the truth that she needed to hear. And he did the right thing.
I don’t understand why people have issues with other people trying to defend Sakura. Let people say their piece. Your opinion isn’t the only one that matters. What she did was totally understandable.

For one the confession. People keep saying that she could have just told Naruto the truth but people are forgetting that when she confessed, she had two things in mind; Naruto’s safety and the village’s integrity. Sakura only had one chance to convince Naruto to forget about Sasuke and if she fails, all sort of bad shit could happen. She needed to give Naruto an incentive to go back to the village. Naruto also cared about Sasuke. Sakura knows this but she’s not sure up to what extent. So even if she straight up told him the truth, there’s no guarantee that he will go back to the village. Sai convinced her that his feelings for her played a big part in Naruto’s drive to get Sasuke back, so she used this as the incentive. Yes, the lies suck. Yes, it is manipulative. But her thought process makes sense. Itachi also lied to Sasuke and massacred his entire clan with the village in mind which led Sasuke to hate the village with the desire to kill all of its inhabitants, but because Itachi’s a badass, people didn’t just give him a pass, they loved him for it.

Sakura’s plan to kill Sasuke is ALSO understandable. She knocked Kiba and the others out because she doesn’t want to put them in any danger. Her plan isn’t fool proof after all and there are a lot of variables she didn’t consider such as Sasuke’s intense hatred at the moment just right after killing Danzo but Sakura isn’t aware of any of that. She still knows that what she’s doing is very risky but she was acting selfless at the time, if anything that’s a likeable trait in my dictionary. Of course she can’t win on a straight up brawl but that’s not the only way to win a fight. Shikamaru vs Hidan should’ve taught everyone that.
Thank you, everyone forgets what Itachi did to Sasuke, he basically made him obsessed with revenge and constantly taunted him about it.

And yes, Sakura untimely just wants to protect Naruto and her friends by dealing with Sasuke herself

For real. People just seem to view her actions as it is without thinking about the reasons behind them. The shinobi world is a harsh and brutal place. Naruto wanting to bring back an infamous criminal to the village is monumentally stupid, yet people’s main priority were Naruto’s feelings and making sure he get with the right person. As if any of it would matter if he dies chasing after Sasuke.
Also, Sakura is most of the others don't know why Sasuke is doing what he's doing. And this is solely because they don't know the truth about Itachi.
sakura doesn’t really know anything about Sasuke, just that she likes how he looks.
Thats not true, she genially loves him, it did start with just his looks, but it evolved further the more she knew him, in particular his flaws and his suffering after becoming part of team 7.
