The All-Knowing - Naruto Shippuden Episode 366 Reaction

When he goes into sage mode wood style 🔥 Hashirama is so dope! To be the only one that could beat Marada speaks volumes to his strength 🔥
Yeah I think Boruto is pretty good, also the OG writer just came back to write the rest. I think it'll be great
Yeah, it's exciting news. Now maybe people will stop treating it like just some spin-off and give it the respect it deserves.
Maybe as anime from no-name studio it's an okay anime. But we are talking about Naruto heir here. Compared to OG Naruto, 80% of Boruto is trash.
And that's your opinion, unless you're only saying it to fit in with the "cool kids" who like hating on it every chance they get. It's basically become such a joke at this point calling the show trash that I can't ever tell if the people saying it actually watches it or simply repeats what they're told without seeing it for themselves.

Regardless, why can't you guys ever just let people enjoy things? Stop telling reactors it's trash and just let them check it out for themselves. Every reactor I've seen who ignored the hate and gave it a chance ended up really enjoying it. And for good reason. Because it's not trash. Maybe not as good as OG Naruto or Shippuden to a lot of people (who need to stop expecting it to be Naruto Part 3), but it's not trash.
Go to Rotten tomatoes and imdb. 5/10 and around 7/10. On other anime sites it's around 6/10. So yea, it's far from just my opinion. I watched all of these episodes, it was pretty bad for Naruto heir.
Manga on the other side is pretty good.
They failed to make a good anime and that's it. As I said in reply to other comment, if you really enjoing this show to rate it 9 or 10 out of 10 - sorry for you then, either you haven't watched good anime, in particular Naruto, or you're ready to gobble up any crap and ask for more with a smile on your face.
Once again, as for Naruto heir - 4.5/10 (meh/trash anime), as for some random anime for kids - 7/10 (just okay).
You realize that still means more people enjoyed it than not, right? Even Rotten Tomatoes is merely split down the middle and that's only from 27 people. Not to mention it lists it as "Season 1." It's really not an example to take very seriously.

As for other sites, 7/10 isn't even bad, especially since so many people are review bombing for bs reasons like how it starts off slow, or how it's just a cash-grab, or how there's too much slice-of-life, or how it's all filler (it's not), or the most ridiculous reason, simply because it's not as good as Naruto. And then proceeding to drop a 1 as their rating. I don't care how salty you are about the series, there's no way a 1 is merited. There are too many good things about it for it to deserve the lowest possible score that I don't take these crap scores seriously.

And even aside from those nonsense scores, the fact that it still manages to be at around 7/10 is pretty good. Even the 6/10 score (I'm assuming you're referring to myanimelist.net?), that's based on about 200,000 ratings, so it's hard to know which ones to take seriously. If the first pages of the reviews I read are anything to go by, there are a lot of 1s, 2s, and 3s from people essentially giving the reasons I mentioned above. Many people also seem to misunderstand Boruto's character and just think he's annoying/whiney without considering his psychology. But looking at the actual ratings, it still has more 10/10s than 1/10s, and the rating that was given the most is 7/10. Hell, Crunchyroll even has 778 5/5 ratings versus the 331 1/5 ratings.

Regardless, people are comparing it to a completed series with about 500 non-filler episodes and giving it a low score after barely watching any of it. Sure, it does do quite a bit of slice-of-life, but there's a reason for that (which I won't go into too much for spoilerish reasons). And it's actually good to get more screentime with the characters, learning more about them, so that you're more attached to them when things finally turn dark (I mean, Suzy just talked about how Neji didn't get enough screentime before his death). After all, it was stated that it will eventually get way darker than Naruto ever was, so I think the lightheartedness in the beginning makes for pretty good contrast for what's to come (which was teased in the first episode to let people know what to expect).

Unfortunately many Naruto fans are such action-obsessed nuts that they find it boring when they don't see constant conflict. I and many others enjoy slice-of-life anime and therefore can enjoy Boruto and don't mind it being slower than its predecessor in the beginning. Perhaps that's a big reason for such a divide in the fanbase. Some people like slice-of-life, some don't. Of course, they already do bring in conflict fairly often, so it's not like it's all just slice-of-life. There's just more than Naruto had.

And yes, I have watched tons of amazing anime, including all of Naruto (obviously). That doesn't mean I should hate Boruto just because it's not quite up to par with those other shows. And who knows? It could ramp up tremendously and be even better. We don't know yet. And with Kishimoto taking over the manga, who knows what the future holds for the story? Just please, stop talking down to us like your opinion is fact and trying to make sure reactors don't watch it. It's annoying.
The fact still is that Boruto is bad as a Naruto heir, and you can't do anything with that. I do not hate Boruto, there are just too many issues with it. You can watch a bunch of reviews on YouTube why people hating/do not liking Boruto and you will see. I just watched some, and what a surprise (not), 70% of their reasons to not liking Boruto are the same as mine. They even mentioned my "as heir and as just random anime" part.

It's not 1/5 but definitely not 5/5. There are some good episodes, but we arguing about the whole show, not just chunin exam arc for example. Rotten tomatoes... well it is a first season. And people don't need to watch the show on this site. They can watch it, and then rate it on all sites they know, am I wrong?
I want to see those people (kids) who rated Boruto 10/10.

In about 150 episodes, [spoiler for Suzy] except for the episodes where Naruto and Sasuke participate, you will not see anything similar to what Naruto gave us in the same 150 episodes. Even close. The show lacks the values of life that Naruto taught us, for which most people love this show. Boruto doesn't make me think about life, love, war, friendship, and so on at all. It just doesn't work for him. This is a fairy tale in the shinobi world. Only with the last arc did I see at least some character development.

Soundtrack, compered to Naruto - bad.
Animation is better I would say (after all Naruto started in 2005 or smthng).
Story - most of it boring as hell. I watched episodes in 1.5 speed to not fall asleep.
Life teachings - none (okay there was some sh*t with friendship).
Battles - talk no jutsu. But important fights are good.
Characters - 50/50. They make you know who fat for no reason, Shino's design was much better in Naruto, why the hell [spoiler for Suzy] Sarada wears glasses? Others are okay. New guys are not interesting.

After those 150 episodes you can't just say "hey maybe it will be good some day". They had their time. They failed. And, what a surprise, episodes where Kishimoto was writing, those episodes are good.

Naruto and Boruto are just like Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go.
And about popularity of Boruto. I hope you will agree that a lot of people watch Boruto because of Naruto characters and universe, but not because of Boruto himself.

Tobirama is actually one of my favorite to play in Ninja Storm 4, i think he is underrated
A dlc? incidentally the games did do an anime adaptation of the uchiha and senju background and an earlier version of this fight. It was made before this though, so it's original and not on the same scale. It's pretty cool though, you can find it on youtube.
