Since you watched it in October and you're reading the manga, I guess you know by now, but some people didn't like this season not because it's bad perse, but because it's too rushed, because of the things they skipped, It should have been at least a three season show, but studio wanted it done asap to put their attention in the next show

And I'll take the heat for it but I'll die on this hill, it was the right decision, yeah Promised Neverland suffered but the other show was PEAK, studio knew what they were doing

The season 2 skipped everything and did not explain many things in the anime.

It's like they crammed one third or forth of the entire plotline into four minutes at the end... with the three main guys staying behind. It felt incredibly off. The plotline with Norman's cure was practically dropped. He just... probably got it offscreen or something. As was Sonju wanting to eat the future kids... He should have at least said somethign about it, because from his point of view he should have NOT liked at all what was happening.

The second season was actually good until episode 4. STarting with episode 5 they rushed everything. They cut HUGE parts of the manga, a lot of important stuff too. They cut out entire arcs and important characters... SKipped pretty much entirely everything that has to do with the demon nobility...

And the list goes on. I will say.. Until episode 4 of season 2 I also thought that the hate for the season was overblown. But after finishing it now.... Yeah. There is A LOT that just didn't work out here and leaves one unsatisfied.
