When I first saw this movie, around 2000, at a friend's house..it was my introduction to anime. And it was amazing. It's an all-time great anime movie...Ghibli outdid themselves.

And just think, this movie was written almost 30 years ago. The things this movie critiques have mostly only gotten worse.

Fun Fact: Quentin Tarantino almost wrote the dub script for this movie
