you actually need the movie Sword Art Online Ordinal Scale , as it still related to Sword Art Online season 1 , 2, and season 3. It's needed after you finished season 2. Before you start season 3

Sure highlights is fine just be careful to watch the movies at the right moment like for example don't watch Naruto Shippuden the Movie: Blood Prison until you get farther into the story as it spoils new characters. Oh and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods movie is awesome and since I heard you mentioned Buu I suppose that's as far as you got. After the story of Dragon Ball Z: The Final Chapters, there was Dragon Ball GT, but I like Dragon Ball Super and the movies Battle of the Gods and its sequel. Also, the Dragon Ball movies Battle of the Gods and its sequel were released before the series Dragon Ball Super, so hard to say if you'd like chronological order or watch the tv show first then movie.

I personally skipped all the movies you mentioned because their usually not cannon to the story. It always bugged me how movies never have any affect on the shows they're for.
That is, until Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale came along. I would love for you to react to this one in particular. It's a great story that actually made me tear up. I highly recommend that one.
As far as Alicization, you can try to get caught up if you want, but the Japanese version is what's airing in June. I don't know how long it takes for the English dub, but I'm pretty sure you have plenty of time before then. No rush.
