Suzy you've said it yourself the episode felt short, when this came out weekly I felt cheated even thought it explained a lot.

"Maybe Kirito gave consent *duduru*" Suzy loool
I agree with you these 2 episodes are not boring at all, some people though think no action=boring which is not true at all! Exposition and information heavy episodes are extremely interesting if done right and this is an example of that (you'll also see what i mean in ep6)

Looking back it was easy to tell the potential Eugeo has so any episode involving those two was better than watching the rest of the cast goofing around thats just how it is.
Fun fact, in the manga Asuna was in the ambulance with kirito when paramedic were trying to help him. And On her phone it showed his heart going to zero and her panicking and in shock
Is that in the light novel too? I’ve been reading it and I’m just about to read issue nine
I am sure that the manga is also different from the Novel... but do tell me if they are the same. I am interested to know.
Talking from experience, a lot of manga differ considerably from their source Novel just to be more "interesting" even though that might "change" the story a bit.

I bet in the Manga, that was the end of the chapter, and they put it only so that it will keep the reader guessing until the next week/month when the next chapter releases.
So in the Novel that will most likely not be the case at all... but if it is... cool. :D
Or not even next week/month, it could be just to "force" you to read the next chapter, even though you see that it's 4:00 am and you have an important meeting at 8:00 am to which you will show up as a zombie... you hate it, but you still read it cuz what happens to Kirito is more important than that meeting on which your future most likely depend... but deep down in your heart, you KNOW that you will not be 100% concentrated on the meeting and will be constantly wondering "WHAT HAPPENS TO KIRITO, I NEED TO KNOW, NOW!" and it will not be productive at all... and may even turn out to be worst... So you keep reading the next two chapters and go to that meeting looking like a zombie... but you don't mind, since you are relieved that Kirito is "safe" for the foreseeable future. :D

This scene is in the novels, it's at the end of the second prologue in volume 9 (half of the volume is the first two prologues). The next chapter begins with Kirito waking up in the underworld just like episode 2, and the book ends with Kirito and Eugeo leaving the village like at the end of episode 4.
Well I’ve read a bit of the manga and compared it to the light novel and I have to say, I prefer the light novel. the anime got me into Sao to begin with all subsequently all anime, but the light novel is better IMO. it has very few pictures, but it’s well done, and the writing is amazing. I recommend the novels if you want something to read over a week or two. but on if it differs, it kinda does a bit.
