Yes. Considering that Orochimaru trained Sasuke and is following his footsteps. In fact, all of Team 7 are following in the footsteps of the Sannin that trained them. Naruto following Jiraiya’s and Sakura following Tsunade’s.

Sasuke is not your everyday naruto character like kakashi........who changes his path every 2 seconds in the arc.......and takes his father's sacrifice as a fault........Sasuke is a character we all can relate to.....you won't be babbling about peace if your whole family was killed by the one you looked up to and after killing him you got to know he was the one who loved him the most. Sasuke was not on the wrong path.....it was that stupid village, who were wrong.
It was a combination of Danzo doing his own thing and the Uchiha’s own decisions that lead to their deaths. The Third Hokage wanted to open up negotiations and settle things peacefully, but before he could Danzo convinced Itachi to kill everyone. Also we only ever see the village praise the Uchiha, Madara claims the village blamed the Uchiha for the nine tails attack, but we never actually see that. Instead what we do see is Sasuke is praised as a genius while everyone blames Naruto

It's so hard to like Sakura. She just does these really stupid things and ends up becoming a damsel time and time again. This is why people keep calling her useless throughout the show. Where is the Sakura who saved Kankuro's life? Or took down Sasori with Lady Chiyo? Or took charge of the hospital in the leaf village? She has these great moments early in Shippuden then just does a tailspin back to being a garbage character. Terrible writing. It's like the writer just wanted to fabricate more conflict so he brought OG Sakura back minus any character growth.
