The way the studio handled this ending really confused watchers because the ending of this episode is actually the finale of the manga at CH 700. Suzy basically figured out that "wait a min, he's not hokage yet" because the whole CH 700 was never adapted. Though in my opinion you can say the ending of the manga was rushed a bit so the studio felt compelled to add a bit of exposition towards his hokage status, then you have the novels also that detail the events of kakashi becoming hokage. The timeline is just all over the place and everything was not fully adapted the correct way so it makes it some what convulated and confusing to interpert.
thats not what im talking about actually, i dont think it really matters when you watch the movie as long as you don't watch it before 479 obviously. all i was saying was in response to her saying "this feels like if it ended here i would be satisfied" thats just because it was literally the actual conclusion haha
Right. The post credit scene of this episode was the BOOKENDING of the "tale" of naruto, the story of the manga and that is true because the last part of this episode is at the ending of CH 700. The Studio confused things and that is why suzy basically caught it at the end because realizing the fact that naruto is still not hokage. Its kind of a mess to be honest and then you have the novels that are set during different time periods. Obvously the studio felt compelled to add a bit of exposition before his hokage status but should have saved the post credit scene for the true end of the story.
Though I still have my views on rather or not kishimoto could have handled the ending much better. Obvously the whole time skip thing felt rushed. I hope that don't happen with one piece. You have question your self, yeah this boy literally saved the world and he's still a genin.. lol really. Ok then. The whole driving force of the story not resolved at the end > Incert time skip. Ok he's hokage now. I feel the author could have handled it a bit better.
