About the post credits scene that confirmed that naruto would become the seventh hokage, the boruto movie came out before naruto shippuden ended and the movie had naruto as the hokage, so most people who were watching naruto shippuden week to week already knew that naruto would become the hokage.

Tsunade and the 3rd hokage were the worst. The 3rd never tried that hard and left Danzo with everything and Tsunade was never strong enough to actually protect the village. She couldnt do shit against Pain or Madara. She needed to retire after the war because even she knew that.
