The fillers are good in this show, at least the first couple of filler arcs. I highly recommend to watch the next filler arc and the one after. Although in the future there will be some trash fillers that are quite a waste of time because they are just bad.
That's why I dislike when people complain about the filler episodes and tell Suzy to just skip them.
Sure they weren't in the manga, but there are several fillers that are important to the anime going forward. One example is in OG Naruto when Naruto, Sakura, and Jiraiya went after Orochimaru's base. That set up how Sakura decides to become a medical ninja in the anime. There was also the filler where they protected Idate during a ship race, the guy's taunts about the Uchiha's clan was the thing that finally pushed Sasuke all the way over the edge because Naruto beat him when Sasuke couldn't (even though Sasuke never realized it's because of him Naruto won).
