Suzy I think you might have missed it but they explained that if Kotetsu and Izumo (the 2 side character with Asuma and Shikamaru) attacked at the same time it would actually make it more difficult for Asuma because they're just not good enough to fight against a Akatsuki member
It's a 500 eps anime more than 100 will be crap and you are still behind in the show. You just reached the good parts, btw sakura didn't do shit and the sasori died on purpose. The Akatsuki members are as strong as Orochimaru at the least. You will see why they don't need backup (125+ eps). So hurry up
When you look back at this fight (having watched the entire series and already knowing everyone's powers) you really know that in this fight Asuma and company had literally 0% chance of winning... they had no idea what they were getting into, but oh well, it was an awesome fight nontheless.
Not hating on Sakura, but it doesn't say much that she did defeat a member of the Akatsuki. For one, she wasn't alone, she had Chiyo helping her through the entire way with her puppet handling technique. They were also lucky enough to fight a member that Chiyo had experience with since Sasori was her grandson, a former member of the their village has great knowledge on all his jutsus. Dont forget Sakura and Chiyo bearly managed on their own.
I’ve always found it funny how all the leaf platoon shinobi on this mission are in their flak jacket infantry outfit and then you have Ino, the only female, with her sexy little purple mini skirt outfit. Like wtf lol. If she’s a Chounin now and she’s going out on a dangerous mission then she should have been provided with the same Konoha-nin outfit as the rest of the platoons.
