I hate how terrible people have been able to tarnish the word "feminist" by presenting it as a terrible meme instead of equality. That being said, I feel like you're good just reacting and not needing to preface your remarks with disclaimers; I'm not judging anyone on what are clearly innocuous comments. I'm fine with political discussions if you'd like, but I think I'd be just as good with watching the two of you enjoy one of my favorite shows.
