I don’t get why people are upset with sasuke, I really like his arc. He is pretty much going through what pain/nagato went through. His life was a lie that itachi made but it was only to protect him and sasuke doesn’t know or what to feel. He’s legit having mental health problems cuz he doesn’t know what’s right and what’s wrong. And he is lonely right now, no one knows how much pain he has and the only thing that gives him purpose in life is to exact revenge on what the higher ups made itachi do.
Suzy your dislike for the Sasuke here is shared by many. Even though you cam empathize with his reasons, he is involving people who has nothing to do with his vendetta. And him joining the Akatsuki and declaring he wants to kill everyone in the Leaf was just a tad overboard for many. Wanted to kill Danzou and the elders..fine. But to want to kill say Konohamaru and Moegi and other children who had nothing to do with Itachi's mission is just not right.
I was angry with sasuke at sasuke at this point to but when you really think about it he has every right to do what he's doing, he went there to kill danzo the raikage attacked him he defended himself. The kage aren't "good guys" they've probably done more evil in their lives than sasuke could dream of.
Honestly I think at this point it’s tough to choose between team sasuke or Team Rikage. Like Rikage just wants to get vengeance for his brother Killer Bee. Sasuke wants basically the same exact thing, Vengeance for his brother. Sasuke wants Danzo and The Rikage isn’t going to let him pass without a fight. Now sasuke has clearly stated that his intentions are to use the Akatsuki, which I mean is exactly what the red nosed Tsuchikage said he has done just an episode or two ago. Except sasuke paid by “capturing” 8-Tails, while Tsuchikage paid with money.
I really enjoyed watching Sasuke's change in this arc, as a person you might be able to state he is bad or something of that nature, but given his exact circumstance it is interesting to see. He is the bad guy in a way, I think the feeling conflicted and seeing the development in almost a negative way(such as killing people now) is part of what makes it good in quality, and the inner conflict is a lot of what kid sasuke had too, and so it has grown further to be this, without spoilers this part and this arc show a great play on psychology I would state, granted anime and killing people aside. The psychological instability of sasuke right now is genuine to a point and there are traits you could call bad and self interest and being overcome with feelings like hatred, but I think that doubt you have and feel now towards the situation is what makes it interesting.
TL;DL I think your conflict is perfectly fair, and that is what makes the writing actually better than it might get credit for is that feeling of being uncertain who's side you are on.

The thing is, to be fair Sasuke didn't really go there to kill anybody else besides Danzo and they were just planning to take him out when he was leaving. The Samurai attacked him and the cloud ninja attacked him so i mean what is he supposed to do? Having said that, he is obviously on the wrong side. The reason you are torn is because you know how he got this way and you know deep down Sasuke was not an evil person.
Exactly. Is he supposed to just let them kill him. And also Exactly, Sasuke’s OG plan was to kill Danzo after. Zetsu just royally screwed up that plan. As sasuke said he’s pissed at the situation. Rightfully so. He just wants to kill Danzo, but the Akatsuki and other Kage are attacking him and getting in his way to achieve that goal.
I see people always say "This isn't the Sasuke I know" or "Gasp, Sasuke killed people oh no". Ok...so what it spices things up, having main characters be goody goody all the time is old and cliché. Obviously this man has changed, he's a bad guy going down a path of vengeance and rightfully so, he learned the truth and that scumbag Danzo was involved.
