Sakura’s Feelings - Naruto Shippuden Episode 206 Reaction

Comments

When you said Sakura was acting like a clone I think you were wrong. She's acting like she always acts and as for when you said she was saying anything to get what she wants that implies that the stuff she was saying was selfish when it really wasn't. She was saying that stuff to try to take away the pain that Naruto's promise to her to bring back Sasuke was causing him. She was thinking of him and therefore not being selfish.
I for one completely disagree about this being the drop off point in quality. Shippuden is amazing the whole way through (minus the filler of course). Maybe some people got bored due to the length, but I was never one of those people.
Great reactions this episode to this infamous Sakura scene. Like you said, what she did was clearly wrong and manipulative of Naruto's love for her. I honestly wish that Kishimoto had not written this scene in for Sakura. It feels like a step back for her maturity and character growth that she did this to Naruto. Honestly it also feels out of character, we've never seen Sakura do something like that before, but I guess the takeaway was that she was very desperate to try to fix the situation and she went about trying to fix it in an awful way that hurt Naruto.
Suzy atleast now you will get to know why people hate sakura so much. What a mean girl. Her morals are trash.

Contrary to popular opinion, I honestly liked sakura a lot in this arc. In fact, this is my favourite arc when it comes comes to Sakura’a character.
A lot of people hate her for what she did but while understandable, this arc just showcases the flaws and how deep the characters actually are. The mental state that they are, their thoughts, emotions, how it makes them do things that might not be the best but they need to be done, etc. how sakura cares a lot of for naruto but on the other hand is ready to hurt him so that he forgets sasuke.
Honestly, sakura is not likeable in this arc, in fact, no main character is actually likeable in this arc because this arc is written to be emotionally deep, real and even uncomfortable at certain points because it tackles the reality. I love that about it.
The dichotomy of Sakura Haruno: she's a flawed but not intrinsically bad person, but under extreme stress she made a series of extremely bad choices. It's not right to hold those choices against her forever - but it's important to remember she handles stress and interpersonal conflict poorly.

The plan of Naruto's friends, respectively Shikamaru, was to somehow convince Naruto that he shouldn't chase after Sasuke anymore, which is why Sakura had the groundbreaking idea to lie to him about her loving him so that he wouldn't chase after Sasuke.

After Naruto Shippuden one piece has to come blatantly that you haven't seen it but all the better for us :D
Unfortunately, the way Sakura went about things were not good. She obviously felt as though the pain Naruto was going through was all her fault because of what Sai said. I feel like Sai is also to blame for what happened. He told Sakura how Naruto felt towards her (Something to which he has no right to say) and implied that Naruto's love for Sakura was the reason why he is in so much pain due to the promise made way back when, basically suggesting that Naruto is doing what he is doing because he loves Sakura and wants to prove himself to her. Sakura feels bad for putting such a heavy burden on him and admits she was ignorant to how Naruto felt towards her thus not realising that what she asked for was too much for him. So she basically thought that if she reciprocated his feelings and said that she loves him for what he has done for her, he would stop chasing Sasuke and agree to what the other teams were discussing (To kill Sasuke), as he doesn't have to prove anything to her anymore. This was her conclusion. Sai basically told Sakura that Naruto's pain for Sasuke was all her fault. It was her fault that Naruto loves her. It was her fault for burdening him. Sai was COMPLETELY wrong for saying this as we know that the promise was not the only reason why Naruto was chasing Sasuke (As stated by Naruto himself) so it wasn't her fault. Tbh, Sakura should've realised this herself, but i don't think its her fault as she had a lot of pressure from her peers. Literally EVERYONE wanted to kill Sasuke and everyone needed Naruto to agree. She thought she was the only one who could convince him as she thinks the reason why Naruto is so hell bent on chasing Sasuke is because of his love for her and their promise, thus events conspired as we saw.
I hope i explained this properly. Sakura said she loves him because of what SAI said a few episodes ago. Yes she could've handled it better but she was also heart broken. I'm not saying what she did was right, but you have to also see it from her point of view. She thought she was the problem and that it was her fault Naruto loved her. I hope you see this and i hope it cleared up any misconceptions. Most people who hate on Sakura don't understand her character properly. Same goes with people who hate Sasuke. I do think she could've been written better, but she is in no way a bad character. Tbh this whole encounter made me like sai less, as it was mostly his fault. He pushed Sakura to this position and was very insensitive towards her feelings.
Another point i have, i feel as though Sakura also wanted to believe that she actually loved Naruto. Sasuke caused her so much pain, and Naruto has always been there. She felt like if she loved someone else, then it would be easier to kill Sasuke. And who else better to love? Naruto has always been there for her and he even likes her back. So i think she was trying to force herself to like someone else. Naruto even realises this and says that she is not being true to herself. Anyway, I hope you see this and i'm looking forward to more reactions x
In Sakura's defense, she was tricked big time by Sai, let's look this into this situation more deeply. Sai told Sakura what he thought it was the truth, declaring her promise to him was a curse, saying he loved her deeply, acting like he understood what both Sakura and Naruto were going through, he heavily twisted her mind. Sakura deeply cares for Naruto, after all, they are Team 7 and also became best friends. There are multiple times that showed how much Sakura cared for Naruto and resented the promise he made to her in OG Naruto (When Sakura was ready to give up her academic life to support Naruto in the chunnin exams, Sakura saw Naruto instead of the beast he transformed when Naruto was fighting Orochimaru, she was ready to learn a whole new jutsu for Naruto's sake!) in this scene, Sakura was ready to sacrifice her feelings for Sasuke so she could save Naruto from his suffering, she was the first to acknowledge that Sasuke was 2 far gone and needed to be stopped.
SUUUUZYYYY how can u forget asuma sarutobi ???

he died as well :( .....shame on you dishonoring asuma senseis legacy !

and sakura always thought its all about herself .....i cant stand her since this episode ....
I mean Asuma died a LONG time ago, and there hasnt been much mention of him in the anime since then

Has for Sakura... it was Sai's fault, he straight up put a lot of blame on her for the pain Naruto was going trough, in a really insensitive way mind you

You guys always seem to forget her point of view, how she feels at the moment, and her intentions with what she did.

Besides if there anyone to blame for all of this mess, its Sasuke

Sakura emotionally manipulates Naruto.

You: Blames that on everyone BUT her.
