Itachi filler is a must watch. Same with the Last Naruto movie, and the Boruto movie (or the boruto episodes that covers the movie content), as well as the Shin episodes in boruto, and the 20th anniversary boruto special.

Borutooooo!!!! Don't listen to the public's opinion.Most of the people that talked trash about the show changed their view. It's a show based on the world you know and love. Of course you will see many of the characters that are in shippuden and you will see how the story of the Uzumaki clan continue with Boruto. I'm sure you will at least enjoy it. Just don't compare it with Shippuden, and take it as a new show but also a continuation of the story. You won't regret it!

Remember Suzy, Danzo actually reflected on his bond with the 3rd Hokage as he was dying. He still considered him a friend...in his own twisted Danzo-esque way lol.

You should just go into Boruto afterwards, you might as well.

mega props for getting this out earlier, weekend morning/early afternoon releases in the states just makes perfect sense.
