There are 2 movies actually, like recap of the 2 parts of the full Death Note. And in the first movie there is an extra scene after L's death. On youtube it's a low quality scene but in the movie which I found on 9anime site its on full HD, subbed or dubbed, whichever you prefer. So it is not a deleted scene, more like added scene or extra scene for those who watched the recap.
He didn't freak out cuz at the back of his mind he believed that what he's dealing with maybe beyond science...he mentioned it again and again in the show that there maybe a shinigami etc etc....and about it being obvious that light killed higuchi...first light didn't write it in the notebook ..so the name of higuchi won't be there. . secondly L didn't see write in that piece of paper...and third...there were 2 notebooks...how is it obvious that light killed him? Try to see from L's perspective.....you should appreciate L that he immediately considered that the rules at the back were fake..or atleast he figured out that the other notebook might have a different set of rules....that's why he asked rem if rules in all the notebooks are same or not.
Yeah I'm sure it's obvious to you because you've had the benifet to watch the show with all the proper context. L didnt know anything about the deathnote up until now. And when he held the deathnote he came to the conclusion that there were 2 deathnotes. So no it wasn't obvious in the slightest that light killed that dude from the helicopter. Light didn't write in the notebook and L didn't see him write on that slip of paper. So L probably just assumed that someone else killed him since he had already assumed there was a second notebook.
Yes. Light was holding onto the Death Note. But L didn't see Light write in the note book. Because he didn't. He wrote in that piece of Death Note in the watch. And L didn't see that. And there was no new names added to that note book. Plus the fake rules. Makes total sense for every one to think Light and Misa are innocent. And even if L believes Light and Misa are guilty, he can't prove it. Innocent until proven guilty, that's how the other cops work. Even though L sometimes acts upon guilty till proven innocent, it appears they have been proven innocent. So under his own highly prejudice detective work, they LOOK innocent. So he is stuck. Light fucked him.
Yes Light was holding the death note but he didn't write anything in it so there's no proof. Also, the first time L heard shinigamis being discussed he never considered the possibility they were real. By now he's put a lot of thought into it which makes it a lot easier to accept. He even speculated when the guy was talking in the car that he may a be talking to a shinigami. L's face is that of a person that knows everything and yet knows he can prove nothing.
