Not really. That's just anime original. Hanzo made the plan of betraying them because he didn't trust them. Danzô sided with him as a way of making sure Hanzô owed him and by extension the Leaf Village. He was playing politics, and him and Hanzô put down what they saw was an organization that was gaining too much influence and they couldn't trust.
