Origin of Pain - Naruto Shippuden Episode 173 Reaction

So just to make it clear he didn't kill Jiraiya because of what happened to his parents or yahiko. He acknowledged that he was different and loved him. But whoever had infiltrated had to be killed because it would spoil his plan. The thing is, the paths of pain spoke all throughout the battle but we don't know how Nagato actually felt having to kill his sensei because the paths of pain only echo his words but not necessarily his emotions. So it could have been difficult for him emotionally.

Now, don't get mistaken here. Danzô didn't create shit here. Nagato himself is the one who created the biggest threat the Hidden Leaf Village has faced. There are people with lots of pain, who have suffered the unthinkabe and they don't become Pain. Nagato had it tough and he didn't deserve what happened to him but he DECIDED to act according to that pain the way he thought was necessary. Danzô didn't tell him to become a murderer and destroy the Leaf. I find the fact of blaming him a great disservice to Nagato (and other characters) and the choices he has made.
But no other character was caught up in a war and devloped a mindset for bringing peace from childhood....but nagato had that thought in him for peace...because of what he had seen from childhood...lots of people suffered pain but everyone's story is different...everyone was stimulated in different ways by life.
Yes ...he didn't force him to do anything....i replied on your comment regarding how many people felt pain but they didn't become pain etc etc....as far as danzo is concerned ...no he didn't force nagato to become who he did...but when people do wrong they never think how that is gonna affect someone's life.....danzo didn't directly go and tell nagato to become pain...but his actions were part of the circumstances which made nagato go berserk....he is to blame for his twisted mentality of protecting the leaf by any means necessary...and that has destroyed more lives than just nagato's
Hey I know Danzo did a lot of shitty stuff. But I don't understand why people hate him so much. You guys think you understood Pain, really, think again.
I you guys can understand and acknowledge what Nagato did to bring peace to the world that doesn't mean you couldn't acknowledge Danzo. This guy did his best to protect Leaf by any means possible, even it means eradicating anyone (Akatsuki). Same is done by Pain. So you can't just go and say that Danzo was shit. He had his own thinking of peace.

As everyone says "everyone is a hero in their own story" trying to bring peace.
I don't think Nagato actually wanted to kill Jiraiya, he was just interfering with the akatsuki's plan so he had to be killed.
Now imagine how Naruto is feeling at this time in the story. How torn he must feel between revenge and forgiveness...
Also Suzy, you may refer to him as Nagato now that you know the real person behind the wheel, Pain was just the character/ the escape route that he had created because of all of this..
Minato was correct in saying that this Shinobi world also killed Jiraiya. People like Hanzo and that piece of shit Danzo created people like Pain from their fear and cowardice or the belief that they knew best, the list goes on. I think Nagato killed Jiraiya not out of a personal grudge but because he knew that Jiraiya wouldn't back down because his views and path to peace differed from the Akatsuki's.

It was pretty much the Immovable Force meets the Immovable Object and somebody was going to die. Jiraiya was willing kill Nagato for what he thought was right so who are we to say who's right and wrong? Jiraiya just happens to be a " good guy". Many people automatically hate anyone who harms or opposes the "good guys" because the story revolves around them and their perspectives of what's going on in the story .

And Nagato has also killed lots of people because of what he thinks is best. Hell, you've seen him destroying an entire village.
Yes. That's why I said who are we to say who is right or wrong? Killing innocent people isn't right but the Leaf had no problem doing the same thing to the Land Of Rain and it's people. So it would be hypocritical to say that him killing people of the Leaf is wrong when his family, friends etc. suffered at the hands of the Leaf, Hanzo and other great nations. Pain brought this up when he had Naruto staked to the ground but, that went over a lot of people's heads because Pain was the villain in Naruto's story. People love to say 2 wrongs don't make a right but that's part of the cycle of hatred. Justice and peace vs your own personal idea of justice and peace.
