Naruto would never have a chance at defeating sasuke in a fair fight. Even Gamabunta and Naruto’s sage mode, which Naruto can’t accomplish easily at this point, wouldn’t win against Sasuke’s near-perfect Susano’o. So to expect a fight and for to Suzy to expect Naruto to kill Sasuke is just dumb. Even Kakashi could be put down by Sasuke if wasn’t blind and low on chakra.

Naruto beat Pain 1v1 Sasuke at this point couldn't do that at all maybe after the transplant but with his regular Mangekyou Sasuke would've been absolutely obliterated by Naruto with Sage Mode and Rasenshuriken is more than capable of breaking through a stage 3 Susanoo it would struggle against stage 4 and the perfect variations. Saying Sasuke at this point would beat Naruto with Sage Mode is basically like saying Pain would be beat by the Raikage and Danzo (since the Raikage is the only Kage to actually dealt serious damage to Sasuke). Naruto would be aware of the Amateratsu's capabilities so don't even say that he would be oneshot by it. The stages of Susanoo Sasuke was capable of forming at this point would've been folded like paper by the Rasenshuriken and probably even shattered by any of the Giant Rasengan Barrages. If they were both fresh than they would probably end up killing each other but in that moment? Naruto would've actually crushed Sasuke without breaking a sweat.
well if they actually did fight in that moment, naruto would've been screwed over by the poison. other than that i completely agree with you. people seem to forget that naruto defeated all six pains. plus, right now naruto is a lot more level headed than sasuke which results in naruto managing his chakra better while sasuke is reckless with his chakra use. also, naruto is stronger than kakashi now so i dont understand the logic in the OP saying "even kakashi can be put down by sasuke"
Naruto had a lot of help when fighting Pain. He seems to get a lot of handicaps whenever he fights. All the toads played a big part in backing up Naruto, and if he didn't go 6 tails then he would already be captured. Sasuke seems to do most of the work in his fights and has more variety and uses a lot of well thought strategy when fighting. It's why Naruto barely stood a chance against Sasuke until he used the nine tails to help him out during the first fight.
Actually, Pain was supposed to win that fight. The only reason Naruto won was because Pain was holding back. Why? Because he couldn't kill Naruto. He had to capture Naruto alive. When Pain used his rods to restrict Naruto's movements he could have easily killed Naruto right then and there with zero resistance and the battle would be over, but Naruto was a Jinchuriki so he had to be taken alive.
Not to be hateful, but expecting a fair fight at this point when Sasuke just fought at full strength, constantly using the susanoo, against the Raikage and Mizukage, Danzo, and Kakashi consecutively is just foolish, Suzy. I don’t think anybody who watched this for the first time reasonably expected there to be a fight. Even a fair fight at this point would result in Naruto losing.
Please don't comment nonsense on this page. After transplant yes Sasuke would potentially beat Naruto, but at this point Sasuke would have no chance. he is mostly blind at this point. Sasuke barely beat Danzo, couldnt beat Itachi. barely made it out of the fight with Raikage. he would have no chance

And I doubt Naruto would fight Sasuke. Everything up to this point implies Naruto doesn't want to fight. It's his talk no jutsu, his main character trait. Sasuke was too weak here. So realistically they wouldn't fight rn

Madara told Sasuke that he helped Itachi kill the clan and that was part of their deal, Madara got to collect the sharingans if he promised not to harm the village while Itachi lived.
Once Itachi died Madara was able to send Pain to attack the village, since Itachi was no longer alive to stop it from happening.
