Suzy its weird how you get on this sexism angle but notice Madara never said anything to the Mizukage who is also a woman. So its not about hating women or else he would have said something about her as well. Tsunade is a Senju and he perceives her as a weak woman because he believes she pales in comparison to her grandfather. Its about the fact that he highly respects the first hokage. .
What are you talking about? He didn't need to mention that she was a woman at all. It was sexist. Plain and simple. He didn't mention the Mizukage because like you said Tsunade is the descendant of the Senju Clan and specifically of Hashirama, but he definitely was being sexist.

The English translation is poor during that line. Another instance of this happened way back in the first few episodes with Kakashi telling Sakura that she should watch what she eats when she eats a food pill. I do agree that taking the comment as it is given here comes off that way, but rest assured the writer did not intend for him to come off like that. Translating from one language to another sometimes just doesn't work.

I’m a native Japanese speaker and can confirm the original Japanese line does sound sexist.

Yeah Madara is sexist, so what? He can do whatever the hell he wants since no one dares to confront him anyway :D

Tis true son. The way it is delivered does make it sound the way she took it. But the point of the statement was that she was weaker than the first in comparison. There is no one else He respects more, and Tsuna's weakness just pisses him off. She isn't weak compared to the ninja that are floating around at current times. But the ninja from their era were just so much stronger. Just to point out in the show other than the poor translation of his comments in this episode the show never once refers to women being weaker than their male counterparts. In many of the groups of ninja we have seen the females of the groups have always been able to hold their own. To name a few. Sound 4, Gara's siblings, the three Sanin, Raikage's underlings in each of these cases the women in those groups are all on par or above the males they fight alongside. I guess we would have to include team 7's Sakura as well, shes not weak, just annoying lol. I am sure there are more, just saying the show is far from sexist.
It was 100% meant to be sexist. That's the point of being a bad guy, he's not nice. The translation wasn't messed up as a comment below said, it was meant to be insulting as that is what Madara does. He likes playing with peoples emotions.
