There have been al least 18 years since that war. But there are not plotholes, just wait. Everything will be explained. And did you notice the word play? Obito-Tobi. And finally, then you realize that the 4th Hokage died because of his former student!

is one of the biggest plot holes in this anime. Kishimoto is a genius but this one is not of hes best explanation, in fact the rock thing is one of the worst explanations, thats why this war in termns of story line (with some other plot holes in this war too, with some destruction of characters like orochimaru, sasori, hanzo) is one of the worst arcs in naruto.

It’s funny how obvious that it was Obito.... TOBI is in the name Obito, minus the 2nd “O”, the hair, the right side of his face when he showed his face to Sasuke & during his fight with Konan. I left dumb for not knowing.
