That's because Danzo didnt manipulate Hanzo. Hanzo was already thinking in betraying them. This isnt' canon, it wasn't in the manga

Seen the filler arc once. Was a good one, but have no interest in seeing it a second time even just a reaction to it. 13 filler episodes, almost 2 weeks of filler. Going to be a long 2 weeks.

I don't understand what Danzo was looking for. He wanted to protect the village, yet he constantly put it and other villages in danger.

Still, in other circumstances, his actions only further harmed the village directly and indirectly. If he sat down and did nothing, the whole Uchiha thing wouldn't have even happened. I would think, anyway.

Maybe he was thinking about the village's economy. If they were at peace, they wouldn't have a reason to hire more Leaf Shinobi.

That's also true. Danzo is after all not only a nationalist with strong military convictions but also a machiavellian politician

It just seems like the things he did would've caused more leaf shinobi to die rather than live. I mean it wasn't on a Madara or Obito scale but he definitely fueled the fire.

I agree with you. While technically they are filler episodes, the stories that they tell are at least as far as I'm concerned considered cannon. The main series alludes to a lot of these events and these episodes just expand the backstory for the characters.

That does not make it bad.

Edit: Those two are almost impossible to live up to but it is fine by itself.

Thank you for not skipping! I love these episodes and I don't think they're fillers... and even if they were fillers, the creator probably left out some stuff in the manga to come back to retell the full story using the fillers. So some fillers are actually important because they help complete the canonicity of the series
