Shoto Todoroki: Origin - My Hero Academia Season 2 Episode 10 Reaction

Idk about that, Deku is still barely able to use his power which greatly hurts him, he might be smart and all, but in terms of power he is way inferior due to lack of control and self destructive
Knocked each other out are you crazy? Just 2 pro's trying to block it knocked Medoria out!, If each had fully connected Medoria might have died, and Todoroki most likely either dead or severely injured. The blast from just blocking it dang near took out the entire ring!
I could have seen it being a draw if there was no interference, but Deku's power is so self sacrificial that I feel like Todoroki winning makes more sense. I think it's also a stronger message for the show to send. Midoriya was willing to potentially lose it it meant helping his friend and he also prob felt insulted to have someone hold back when everyone else is giving their all like he said. Midoriya stays true to his convictions over winning the tournament.

Just a point with Todoroki's mom, when Shoto was peeking through the door it was his fire side that was showing so for a split second she thought it was Endeavor listening to her. Still a crappy thing though.
On the one hand, Midorya lost the match. But in my view, it speaks to Midorya's character to help Shoto accept his quirk as his quirk. Midorya is the kind of person who would sacrifice himself if it means he can save someone. In this case, he saved Shoto from his father's grasp by helping him realize his quirk is his own power and not his fathers. It's symbolic in a way and man I love it.
Anyone else catch Todoroki saying “thank you” right before that final attack? Such a nice moment ☺️
Midoriya power is so sacrificial that that would have been his last match anyway, it makes sense that Todoroki would get the win even with the interference imo. The sports festival is not meant to simulate a life or death battle, it's a chance to show off that's all.
He freed Shoto of the burden he feels with his fire side. To him it means more and more "hero" like to do that then win a competition.
Even though Midorya lost, I feel like he succeeded because he was able to help Todoroki and helping people is part of a hero's job

Midorya saved Shoto from himself.
He sacrificed his win in order to make Shoto accept his quirk. That means to be a hero.
