Based on other YouTubers reacting to Shippuden for the first time most of them love the war arc. Most think the war arc is probably the 2nd best arc in Shippuden only behind the Pain Arc. The war arc sucked when it originally came out only because of all the fillers you had to struggle thru. But cut out the fillers and you won't regret going back to doing 4 or 5 Shippuden reactions per week.
I'd recommend no fillers at this point. There is going to be a lot of filler that get in the way of the story episodes at this point on. As someone who followed the series as it aired, when a filler came out, most people didn't watch it. So not everyone who has seen Naruto watched all the fillers because it's considered annoying at this point.
lol why are you so mad? even people who like the earlier fillers (sora arc, guren arc, utakata arc, etc) dont like the filler later into the series, it's lazy and not entertaining at all. meanwhile they are placed in the dumbest spots (example: a filler occurred back when naruto confronted pain, for literally no reason)
I am 100% down for going back to every day Naruto if you are up for it! It's true that some people dislike Shippuden later on but only some people. There are plenty of people like myself and prob a lot of other people that watch you who like it all the way through for the most part.
There's still A LOT of great moments to come. The last third of the war arc is really where people's issues come. We get answers to questions we didn't want/need answered and you can really tell Kishimoto didn't think things through ahead of time. The story gets really messy and conflicts with some of the big themes of the show.
my suggestion suzy, is, if you like watching naruto give it a chance to have it fast pace in your channel, since we all enjoy it (the ones following 200+ episodes). There are so many other good animes anyways so once you finish a long story like naurto you can switch your main focus into another. What do you think?
I wouldn't say worse myself although I do like the mid part most. All my issues with the war arc aside from fillers messing with pacing as I watched them for the first time as it aired, but I also had already read the manga as well so when it they popped up, knowing what was to follow it just pissed me off. That happens a crap ton. You have an option not to deal with that so hopefully your viewing in more positive than my first watch. The other point is not a studio choice that causes it to suffer a bit for me but the writer's choices. Yes we get more info about the past and what is to come but some of the info contradicts what we have known for years at this point. Last point and a really big one to me is Lee.... My boy just got screwed. Spent months recovering from Gara then years training once he did and in the canon at this point in the story my boy has not had a single fight aside from an off screen clone fight which was adapted horribly. In the manga we saw none of this fight but it was implied that it was not hard at all. Negi even makes fun of Lee for finishing his last. Canon wise he assisted a tiny bit vs fake Kisame. And tossed a kick at Sai just before Sakura put him and the rest to sleep. We did get to see drunken fist Lee in OG but he was far from at peak performance. on a normal day opening the first gate is no issue for him. On that day it was all he could do in the state he was in. Why bother saving his Ninja life if your gunna ignore the kid for what 250 + episodes. Same can be said for others to like Kiba, Negi and so on, but they ain't Lee. He holds a special place in the show for me. I am aware there might be filler where he is used but Kishi didn't write any of the fillers lol. The issue is wth was Kishi thinking ><.
