Agree with you, but I don't think this is the best episode to really pay attention. Like a said in my comment, this episode has "plot holes/poor translation" problems. Izanagi don't actually need Senju "power" to work.

Masked Madara's talking about complete Izanagi. He possess both Uchiha and Senju DNA (Recreates the Sage's Chakra) which allows him to maximize Izanagi's duration during the 10 minutes of Konan's paper bomb explosions. Having control over the Senju cells unlike Danzo, he is able to keep Izanagi active for much longer.

The part at the end with Konan's paper returning home and all the tiles being red will always get me. The Ame Orphans and Jiraiya are my favorite group in this show, really such an amazingly well written group of characters.
