This filler arc is not so bad, but let's face the fact . Unlike other channels , Suzy posts only one video daily. so it will take a longgg time. And if you compare this filler arc to the next Sasuke-Itachi-Jiraya-PAIN arc, then it is always good the next arc.

You should react to the filler arc. You are watching Naruto for the first time so you should enjoy the entire thing like we all did when we first saw it. The filler arc is really enjoyable and a relationship is developed or furthered between two characters that I can't say about right now. U won't regret it.

Fun fact: the reason why there are a bunch of deer guarding Shikamaru's family land is because they're clan (surname) is "Nara" which is Japanese for "deer".

To answer your question. He hasn't necessarily surpassed the 4th hokage in terms of overall power. Rather he surpassed the 4th hokage in terms that Naruto completed the Rasengan by successfully adding a change in nature. It's a bit confusing, because of the way Kakashi said it but yeah.

Not a spoiler, cause it was given outside of the show in like an interview or something. The author said Hidan gained his immortality after converting to jashins religion and doing some prayers and shit. Going by that info, it seems like jashin is actually the God in naruto. Which means Hidan is like the only one whos actually living life the "right" way in the show.

I love Naruto the most above any other anime or series in general of any genre. I'll just say this regarding filler eps there are good ones and bad ones for me most are bad but I think watching along with Suzy would be enjoyable enough to sit though them again. I just can't wait til you are further along in the series there are SO many great moments coming. Do you plan on watching any of the movies?
