I hated it that tbf, it made it so obvious

the intro only make sense after kirito guessing death gun doesn't work alone. But before that, it didn't give anything since his avatar and death gun's appeared on screen in different places at the same time

Yeah but you only really notice it after the reveal

I read that as her phobia and traumatization (symbolized by Death Gun) acting as a complex preventing her from being able to have a normal life. She begins to come out of her shell with a friend but feels back in panic as her depression comes up again.

I don't think so without hindsight. Just "something happens to him".

Considering fire almost always means death in OPs I always thought it was foreshadowing that he was gonna be the last victim, maybe trying to save her. Right up until he was in her apartment I figured he was a red herring Death Gun.

It's about as spoiler as what direction characters face in early Attack on Titan OPs.
