Yeah, this arc gets some criticism for its lack of stakes, but I think it's just fun to be able to take a breather for a few episodes and spend some time hanging out with all the characters before starting the last story arc of Season 2 (which gets to be a doozy). I personally love this part, because we rarely get to see everyone interacting like this.
Also, Tonky/Tonki might be a weird name, but the name is from one of the elephants in the Tokyo Zoo during World War 2 that was (allegedly) starved to death when they were putting the animals down to prevent them from escaping and harming people if the zoo was bombed. There was a book written about the incident, which is where Suguha got the name (according to the light novel).

100% agree with this! Don't know why this get so much hate and not the 20 episodes of filler of Naruto (which I also like)

I felt the same way. The scenes where we get the entire cast together are too few and far between. It's really nice to see them just being gamers in a fantasy world for once, makes me really wish I could get an Amusphere and log on with my buddies too.

Gotta agree with you! That's exactly why I love this arc. It's rare that we get to see how everyone acts without their lives (or someone else's life) being in danger. It's a nice change of pace. Having all action all the time isn't always fun, so it's just fun to see them interacting like this.

In the Light Novel, the story of Kirito, Leafa and Tonki happened after Kirito and Eugene's duel, in the way to rescue Asuna.

You are right, Asuna and Kirito relationship is weird in these episodes...

This is just a side story of 3 episodes, not the major arc. The major arc will make you cry

This episode (15) starts a new arc, but these next few episodes are a side story from light novel vol. 8 iirc, which leads into the next actual arc of the anime.

Isn't this supposed to be a filler arc besides the last 2 ep where it show's the reason of what happened in season 3?
