Yes, the epic is here! Suzy this message doesn't contain spoilers, only pure information regarding this episode only. The anime omitted a lot of things from the light novel. I'm just adding more details without spoiling you. A lot of them will never be explained in the anime. Some information are incomplete to prevent spoilers. I will skip a lot things. Just think of it as a fun fact or something like that.

『The ice helps the food's life drop slower while Alice is walking from the Rulid Village to the Gigas Cedar. If by walking from Rulid Village to Gigar Cedar, let say, takes about 15 minutes and the food's life is 15 minutes, it will be extended up to 30 minutes because the ice preserves the food while Alice is walking to her destination. Because of that, they'd be able to take their time eating their food during the summer.』
