Truth - Naruto Shippuden Episode 141 Reaction

Sasuke wanted to punish the people who brought suffering to his brother and was responsible for killing his clan, it makes sense why he wanted to destroy the leaf at this stage
Fans always praise Itachi as a hero with perfect morality but I disagree. Maybe slaughtering the Uchiha was the only way to prevent war after things had gotten that bad, but the way he purposely filled Sasuke with hate is so irrational and messed up imo. It was said that he wanted to make Sasuke strong, but was further traumatizing him and making him abandon his friends and village really worth making him strong? No, there's no way it was. Itachi made a mistake. Given Itachi's and intelligence and love of Sasuke this is also super out of character for him imo, it's way too irrational.
A note on how powerful Itachi is. He was fighting a full powered enraged Sasuke while agonizing from an illness, partly blind and holding back and he would've still been able to kill Sasuke at any moment if he had wanted to.
Think about it. If you blame the village and want to destroy it, then you also want Kakashi, Naruto, Rock Lee, Hinata, and all your favorites to die also. The village is not to blame, is those three damn elders.
Itachi was following orders from the Leaf leadership but as mentionned by Madara he also made his own descision about the situation. He accepted his mission to wipe out the entire clan for he believed this is what HAD to be done.

Itachi deciding to keep the truth from Sasuke goes like like this essentially ;

He played the part of the villain so that he could leave the image of a noble clan and village for Sasuke to see.

He wanted to keep their sins away from Sasuke's eyes because he believed that this would have been far more traumatic then Sasuke seeing his older brother as the vilain.

He did not want Sasuke to see the clan as clan that was selfish and ready to carelessly create the foundations for the 4th Shinobi World war. A war that would have led to countless amount of innocent villagers with no ties to the shinobi politics to die.

This is what Itachi was referring to when he lectured the 3 Uchiha members who came to confront him about Shisui's ''suicide' ; He lectured them about how their view of things was trivial and limited, how they simply focused on the clan and not the bigger picture.

The clan was right to be upset about their unjust threatment by the village's leadership, but for them to be ready to take the risk of shaking the entire foundation of the world for their own sake is simply not right.

They were right to be upset but they were terribly wrong in their way to respond to the situation

As for the village

Them assuming that the Kyuubi attack was the Uchiha's doing was completly wrong and is the very thing that created the circumstances that pushed the Uchiha to plan a coup but by planning it and going down this way the Uchiha did fuel the fire that was the suspicion that the village's leadership had about the Uchiha clan wanting to take control of the villagr for a long time.

Itachi, having Sasuke's best interest as his priority above all else strongly believed that Sasuke was going to live a better life believing his older brother was the villain who wiped the clan for his own selfish interest rather than living and witnessing his clan being wiped by his own village because of what the clan was planning to do and how the village had mistakenly created those very circumstances in the first place.

Itachi pretenting to be the villain also allowed him to approach and get close to Madara which would gain him access to the Akatsuki.
Blaming the whole leaf village when it literally said only the elders and danzo know🤦🏽 To quick to judge
You asked a Suzy question you said if we would have acted in the same way as Itachi. For me I would have acted in the same way as him when we imagine that at the age of 4 he was present during the third great ninja war. It leaves a mark that one cannot share or even discuss with someone because either one is ashamed or is afraid. If I have something to say about Itachi Uchiha is a hero and a real ninja he sacrificed his family, his honor, his reputation and his clan to protect the village from the leaves. To avoid the horrors of war for his little brother but also for the young future generation of ninja. He will always have my respect and I understand your Suzy philosophy about your path. I who have brothers and even sisters I would do everything in my power to protect them what big brothers do even I am the youngest of a twin and that my twin brother is the oldest. But I would protect it at all costs even if it meant losing my life. It was my philosophy.
The illness they say that Itachi has is most likely overuse of the sharingan. Couging blood, chest pain and loss of sight are effects of using them too much.

Fillers here actually start from 144, so 142 and 143 are canon. Also those are good episodes.
I think it's important to remember when watching Naruto that this is a war torn world. That has been embroiled in conflict for Millenia, with recent peace being somewhat established by the hidden villages but still all out massacres occuring every decade or so between them. Even Kakashi one of the people we cheer for has killed hundreds if not thousands of people. Good and evil are relative terms in the universe. It's something we got a good look at with pain and jiraiyas backstory. There's no real good guys or bad guys the Shinobi world is a dark one, and mostly everyone thinks they are fighting and killing for the right reasons. A shinobis job it to endure and itatchi was a true Shinobi he made his Joice. And his horrible as it is they didn't exactly manipulate him that's Madara being extra, itatchi may have wished for a peaceful negotiation to take place but he accepted this a necessary last resort. So don't hate the leaf or even danzo or pain they are simply victims of the Shinobi world.
Suzy, I know you told me not to say anything bad......
But I cant help it......
Freak Danzo 😔
The Uchiha weren’t exactly good either. They were getting ready to kill innocent people. Had Itachi not done what he did all out war would’ve broke out
To be fair madara telling the truth saskue could have still followed itachi's wishes but saskue chooses to destroy it so that's all saskue
if you had known the truth about Itachi before his death, do you believe his death would have hit you as hard as jiraya’s death did?
Great Reaction Suzy!! I’m glad you understand what Itachi position was and Sasuke‘a decision after finding out the truth. It’s only rational that Sasuke wants revenge against the Leaf..

Itachi my favourite character forever, a true unnamed hero who maintained peace in the darkness
