I can't believe people actually think he did all this because he lost rin. There is greater explanation later on. And even if he even did that for rin you can't judge him...you can't judge a person based on what you would've done...for a person with no parents and kakashi being a dick rin was his only one in the show. ... that's all i could say without spoiling

He didn't do it because rin died...he understood everything that madara meant which he was ignoring before...there us explanation later where he himself says its not only rin...rin's death only opened his eyes...and there is another reason why he became like that but can't say here because of spoiler reasons

Obito "died" around 20 years ago at this point in the show, Kakashi is 30 years old in Shippuden, Naruto is 16, Itachi is 20 When he killed his clan he was 13... just to give you an idea of the timeline

As someone who's finished the series, I hated this plot twist. Obito's motivation for all this was pretty weak.

agree. We love naruto manga-anime but this part is one of the week parts in naruto. we can notice that kishimoto was tire jeje, this is not of hes best explanation

One of the biggest plot holes in this beautifull anime suzy, relax because youre right, dont have any sense, the rock thing is one of the worst plot holes here. The problem is not obito, the problem is the rock. Dont have any sense, is a plot hole and continue enjoying the anime :D
