every series handles it differently. One Piece barely has any filler, but the problem there is that after a few hundred episodes, the pacing got REALLY bad to the point where some episodes only covered half of a manga chapter. My Hero Academia is seasonal but that's a fairly new approach for big ongoing shonen series, but obviously that is going to result in better pacing AND not as much filler.
I hate manga weeaboos who constantly screech like autistic kids about "filler" episodes. They act as if they're not worth watching or don't contribute to the plot because they're not part of the manga. Only a tiny fraction of the episodes that these retards complain about is actually true filler - most of it expands upon or compounds the plot, like the two you mentioned. Those arcs expand upon the Akatsuki's search for the tailed beasts, by definition it's not even filler because it's not meaningless air-time that only exists to fill the time-slot. It's just 13 year old weebs (who think they can write manga/anime better than professional writers LOL!!!) complaining about the parts that don't hold their ADHD retard attention span.
Filler literally puts a stop in the plot to add what’s mostly pointless story, that has no real relevance, such has the other tailed beasts, they are important to the plot has objects not actual characters, so giving them often long arcs dedicated to each of them is just bad when they don’t really afford much, filler is hated for a reason, even more in such large amounts like in Naruto, a good example being that mini arc that interrupted Pain’s backstory, like why? Why do that? or 20 episodes of filler after Danzo got named Hokage which is largely flashbacks, the filler is REALLY bad, even for people that don’t watch the manga, filler needs to be in small amounts and have good timing, both which Naruto failed miserably
Butthurt much... Its a known fact that non filler episodes are better than filler episodes which dont add to the plot and only prolong the storyline just because the anime catches up to the manga. Its just meaningless half assed written storylines that were written to fill the time slot so they dont catch up to the manga. Dont be a butthurt fanboy. If anyones the weeb its you lol
