See now why all that drama Naruto and Sasuke are going tru is ridiculous? Sasuke doesn't care about anyone, while Naruto having heartattacks over Sasuke, Sasuke is out here disposing friends because his revenge is too strong for him to care about anything else. That's why when you were saying "Danzou is not the right side", like Sasuke and Madara were? For me all of them could've died right here, even Karin, she was a fan of Orochimaru's work. They're all trash, Sasuke is the worse because he has all his bad things justified by the manga.

Danzo is interesting, because he is a portrayal of a real position in politics and in intelligence operations. He will do whatever it takes to protect the village. This absolute position makes him impossible to deal with for others especially more moderate persons.
He is a classic nationalist 'strike first' fanatic. Brilliant character. Really well written.
Without Danzo, the hidden leaf would have fallen a long time ago.

There is no right side. I understand motives of Madara. He thinks he is the savior. This infinite genjutsu is a world ideal to one's desires. Basically every single person gets their own ideal world. But of course Naruto has plot armor so Madara did not kill him in the scene where he came to talk about Itachi, he did not even try to kill Kakashi and Yamato who are dangerous foes to Madara and are essential to the Leaf

You need to remember 1 thing. In Naruto there is no right side. Especially from now on there is no such thing as the right side.

Suzy, you forgot that the Uchiha were planning to overthrow the Hokage and basically start a war between both sides, which would have caused more deaths, plus leaving the village vulnerable to attack from other villages and cause even MORE deaths.

The situation got the point that it was impossible to evade the conflict, thats when Danzo took the decision to wipe them out, he didnt do it for the sake of it, or to steal their power (that was likely just an after though) he did it to stop more deaths than necessary, by reducing it to just the Uchiha, rather than what a war would have caused.

In a way, its like sacrificing 1 life to save 10, also by doing so, he protected the reputation of the Uchiha, since the public image was that a rogue ninja Itachi, wiped them out in seek of power, so it was never knew that the Uchiha were planning the attack to begin with, and that was Itachi's plan, take the whole blame for it and be labelled a criminal, and then be killed by Sasuke so he would be regarded has the hero that avenged the Uchiha.

BTW, if theres anyone to blame for all this, it would be Madara, since he is the one that attacked the village with the nine-tails, which was what started the whole tension between the Leaf and the Uchiha, since only an Uchiha could control the beast

Anyway, Danzo was basically the Dark Hokage, he protected the village at any cost, doing the dirty work in the shadows, not everything can be solved with diplomacy or peaceful methods.

Saratobi and Danzo just had two different views on protecting the hidden leaf but ideology were forged during the second great ninja war and the teachings of Second Hokage Tobirama Senju.

You should know that even the third hokage(hiruzen) also knew about the uchiha massacre so he was a bit like Danzo

The uchihas were not innocent....they were planning a coup....but its also true that the village leaders drove them to it....so its kind of a loop... every one is to blame and no one is to blame as well....and danzo didn't order the eradication of the uchihas because they will take power...they were going to destroy the leaf and take power...a village comes before a clan....so they needed to make a choice...if the village had been destroyed ..other villages would invade and trigger a war...then the uchihas would have been wiped out as well and no body from the leaf village would have survived. Tobi mentioned all this when he explained the truth to sasuke.

I feel like shes forgetting the Uchiha were plotting a coup to destroy the leaf village. They were by no means innocent, Danzo is fucked for using the opportunity to collect sharingan but the Uchiha would have killed scores of innocents themselves

Suzy, you seem to be under the impression the Uchiha clan was killed because of Danzo. Make no mistake the Uchiha clan were in rebellion they were going to be put down one way or another. It was just a matter if Itachi doing it to cover up the clan's sins so that Sasuke, an innocent, didn't have to end up paying the same price. Also, that call was made by 4 people. The 3rd Hokage is just as responsible as Danzo...

I mean from Danzos perspective he slaughtered 1 clan to save many clans that would have died due to the uchiha Coup d'état. So its like whats worse, killing 1 person to save 10 or letting 10 die knowing you could have prevented their deaths. imo Danzo isnt a villain, he's more of an anit-hero where he does the things that need to be done for the sake of the village even though some of the decisions are morally wrong. very similar to itachi..

Suzy the ONLY thing Sasuke cares about is revenge. Karin in his eyes at that time was in his way of revenge by being a burden(being taken captive).
