Danzo allied with Hanzo which basically secured Hanzo's act of treachery would have edge over the old Akatsuki.
It doesn't matter what would have happened if the frog succeeded, I'm talking about Danzo's intentions, he'd let the whole village be mopped down, everyone killed and him and his foundation hiding while also pretending all they do is for the Leaf. Also there are many hypothetical situations on what if Naruto came earlier: Pain wouldn't have blown the whole village which means lots of people would have been prepared to fight, Tsunade would be in better shape or maybe the toad would have still insisted to train Naruto until they finish their training. In any case, Naruto spent most of his training perfecting the sage mode while sitting still without the oil, which was a waste of time in the current situation because he used the oil along with clones to replenish his sage mode in his fight against Pain.
It's just Danzo responsible for the Uchiha massacre and you know full well why I can't tell you why the others have much less responsibility for it, because of spoilers.
Keeping Naruto imprisoned isn't the most reasonable game plan in the long run. They've already mentioned that if Naruto changes places it would be harder for them to find him, but I guess you don't watch the show.

You clearly dont understand anything. Yes he did those things, but he honestly thought it was for the good of the leaf. With the Uchiha massacre he only had Itachi do it because the Uchiha were literally about to attack the leaf for power. He didn't want Naruto out in the open where he could get captured rather easily. If Itachi wanted to he could've captured him before he fought Sauske. During the 5 Kage summit he was really the only decent choice to lead. Garra was WAY to young to lead a force that big. The Raikage was just a pissed of dude who was ready to punch anyone who didn't agree with him. The little old man couldn't be completely trusted because he used the Akatsuki. And finally with the hidden mist village, they already were controlled by the Akatsuki so whsts say thet couldn't do it again. EVERYTHING that Danzo did was for the betterment for the leaf. And if your to dense to see that maybe you should rewatch Naruto.
Don't forget sasuke when he fight killer bee he was worried about his team as much as him self and more+he remembered team 7 so it's not really that he forgot him he didn't betray them he said from the beginning i collect a team and members for one goal to kill otachi after that to destroy the village

I know all that but it feels like a contradiction. Yeah he assembled his team for his original goal to kill Itachi, but if he actually cared about them like he showed in the KillerBee battle , how could he just do a 180 and leave them to die and willing kill Karin if necessary just to take out Danzo? He could have found another way to take out Danzo without putting Karin in harm's way, and he could have at least been pissed off or upset that he couldn't save Jugo and Suigetsu but he didn't care at all, it was just for a brief moment in that KillerBee fight that he saw Team 7 in his new team but that effect didn't last long.
No one understands sasuke and its really sad and pathetic, Sasuke has 3 main plot points that makes him how he is now, the death of his family as a chilled is reason enough for half of the shit his done, he was fucking 7 years old, people break and go insane for less, then his brothers story flied his world upside down.... Anybody who remembers important details and pays attention to the story can easily answer any of those questions you put out. Understanding the cycle of hatred means you should understand why Naruto doesn't want to kill Sasuke. Just from a basic look at it, Sasuke is his best friend who he sees has lost himself to hatred and Naruto wants to save him from that cycle even if he has to be the one to bear it all. Understanding Sasuke's perspective isn't hard at all.

You only "support" Sasuke because of him being a character in a storyline. You understand his character. Good for you. Though, what if you were in Naruto's shoes? Does Naruto support Sasuke in what he does? No. That's why he's been relentlessly chasing after him, for a good 3 and a half years, now.
This is a serous problem with shonen is some authors when they are not sure how to resolve stories with a paticular character or make that specific character relevent any more, they kill them off or write them out of the story just like orochimaru. This is something you will absolutly not see happen with a show like one piece. I think kishi could have added alot more to danzo's character, he was a key anti-villian (yes anti-villian) in the story which conflicted with the hokage's ideal's who wanted diplomatic relations and peace but not everything can be solved in this manner. Danzo always wanted what was best for the village of konoha and it was his top priority to create a balanced shinobi infastructure with rules and consequences of breaking those rules. Some people look at him like he's a villian of the series because of his actions but he really wasn't. He was a complex indivdual with a different way about doing things to protect the shinobi world and the ninja system. Were his methods immoral, perhaps? I think people get so caught up in thinking sasuske is a great character and a good character because he's one of the mains and was introduced like so, but everything that he has done is with sinister intent and evil and all he cares bout is konoho's destruction. He's like an emotional uncontrollable obstacle threatening the world because he has no idea of his own existance. Do you think that is stable? Would you allow a monster like that to be set free. He's no better then one of the akatsuki members and he's commited terrible crimes. Sasuske is indeed a problem and he needs to be stopped and this is obvously what danzo saw and even more so about the history and cursed uchiha clan. Some times you need to take a carefull look and see things from a different point of view. I hate the fact that kishi ended danzo's presence in the story just like that, he could have added so many different elements to the story moving forward. But alas this was the end result and like most fans probably thought, he deserved alot more.
If the frog would've arrived, Naruto would've gone to the village way earlier and this would've been a problem because his training wasn't complete. Killing the frog gives more time for Naruto to train. Besides, if he doesn't come to the village the Akatsuki won't find the Nine Tails. Tsunade can take care of the citizens with the healing jutsu.
The ones responsible for the Uchiha massacre are Danzo, Itachi and specially the Third Hokage (because of poor leadership and inaction which caused Danzo and the advisors to stepped in) and the Uchihas themselves.
Keeping Naruto imprisoned is way more sensible and reasonable than what Tsunade is doing. A terrorist organization who wants the Tailed Beasts are looking for him and Tsunade, the person responsible of protecting the village is letting him facing the Akatsuki by himself.
He never tried to take down the 3rd. Filler is not canon.
No one trusted each other in the Kage assemblee. All of them aside from Gaara have a history of doing shady stuff. They might've joined forces for a while but let's be real, they would've betrayed each other eventually. Danzo got ahead of them. Better to use than being used.
